Marble Codex press kit

Facts, descriptions and images for writing about the game.

In one line

Drop marbles through brass-and-walnut machines to power Leonardo's inventions.

In a paragraph

Marble Codex is a marble-drop puzzle game set in Leonardo da Vinci's workshop. Every level is a machine: maple tracks on a walnut pegboard, with levers, color gates, cups, paint buckets, counting gears, lifts and catapults. Fill every socket and the Flying Machine lifts off. Three stars for a perfect run: no misses, no help. Forty machines in four chapters follow Leonardo from apprentice in Florence to engineer in Milan to master in Venice, Rome and France, and every one of the twenty inventions adds a page to his Codex: the working model, his plan with its mirror-written caption, and a short note on the real history. No timers and no lives; hints arrive in Leonardo's backwards handwriting.
